Nikolayev is a 36-year-old former Russian middle-distance runner, who has featured in 1,500m, 3,000m and 5,000m, and represented his country in 1,500m at the 2012 London Olympics.

“He took me over to that area and he’s like check it out and just hang out… he’s like ‘alright, I just have one more thing to ask you’… I knew that that was going to be the case because when he had first asked me to be his girlfriend, that’s exactly what he asked… I didn’t suspect absolutely anything… because it was a super chilled weekend.”
The 22-year-old will be looking for a strong 2025 campaign to compensate for the pain of 2024 when she also started her season late due to an injury.
