American sprint icon has opened up about the power of marketing a sport even when it seems ‘irrelevant’ and how one can tweak people’s mindsets to make them view the event as a priority.

“When this fight was first announced I thought it was stupid. Several months of hype convinced me I was wrong. I was right all along! The power of marketing and hype cannot be denied,” Michael Johnson said in a post on his X (Twitter) handle.

The second edition of the event will be the that will take place at Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, Florida, May 2 to 4. The event will then proceed to Philadelphia and will take place at Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, May 30 to June 1.
The final Slam will be held in Los Angeles at UCLA’s Drake Stadium on June 27, 28, and 29. Michael Johnson has been very strategic in avoiding clashes with the Meetings too, making it easier for track and field fans to follow the event wholesomely.
