Arsenal’s Premier League ambitions are facing a crucial juncture with upcoming matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.

To avoid falling behind Manchester City, who are often seen as the benchmark of consistency and dominance, Arsenal must adopt a proactive strategy.

Here’s what the Gunners need to do:

The vastly experienced former Harambee Stars forward joined Police from Zesco United during the off season and even scored a brace in a recent friendly match against Gor Mahia.

Arsenal will face Tottenham on Sunday for the North London derby before they travel to Manchester City a week later.

Despite the injuries and absence of major players, Arsenal have no choice but to pick up points on Sunday against Tottenham.

This might give them a better chance to maintain the gap they already created after drawing with Brighton.

Dutch national team captain Virgil Van Dijk commented on the errors of his teammate across the international break.

If they lose against Tottenham, and Manchester City win their match against Brentford, Arsenal will be 5 points behind the champions.

Drawing is also not an option as the gap will still be huge heading to their game against City on Sunday 22nd September.

Involving gun-man Leandro Trossard

Leandro Trossard has already shown that he is capable of filling the gaps especially last season when he played the substitute role, coming in as either a winger or a false 9. He could be the perfect replacement for Odegaard for the next three games.

Trossard could link up with Kai Havertz which would allow Arsenal to play Saka and Gabriel Martinelli on the wings with Jorge Luiz (Jorginho) and Thomas Partey as the anchors in the midfield.

Arsenal are currently facing multiple injuries and absentee players heading to this season's second London Derby.

Raheem Sterling who joined Arsenal on deadline day, could offer another option for the wings for Arteta.

Raheem Sterling’s rapid and speedy nature of play can help Arsenal in terms of depth. Despite not playing for Arsenal yet, this could be a real chance for Sterling to show he is a gem for Arsenal.

Attacking is the best form of defending and mainitaining the front three should be Mikel Arteta’s priority right now to make sure Arsenal maintain the sharpness and quality of their game.

If they defeat Tottenham and head into the Manchester City game with confidence, picking a point or three at the Etihad will not be so huge of a task for Arteta. As for now, we wait and see what Arsenal’s boss will decide
