Tusker coach Charles Okere says his charges have what it takes to write off their poor record against perennial rivals Gor Mahia.

The Brewers are winless against the record league champions in the last two seasons and Charles Okere believes Tusker are better placed to redeem themselves in today’s Football Kenya Federation Premier League clash at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

Gor Mahia are poised to mark their return to league action against Tusker FC.

«We know we have not won against them in the last two seasons and for us that is enough to go out there and fight for all the three points. They are our direct competitors in the fight for the title and if we win against them, it really pushes our morale high.» Okere told .

(function (v, d, o, ai) { ai = d.createElement(‘script’); ai.defer = true; ai.async = true; ai.src = v.location.protocol + o; d.head.appendChild(ai); })(window, document, ‘//a.vdo.ai/core/v-pulsesports-co-ke-v0/vdo.ai.js’);

Tusker have climbed at the top of the KPL standings after an impressive run of form. The former champions boast of 30 points, six ahead of third-placed Gor Mahia although Gor have two games in hand.

Tusker FC coach Charles Okere is the latest to join the call for the privatization of the Kenyan Premier League.

The brewers will hope to open a six-point gap against Gor Mahia with a win.
