winger Darius Msagha harbours regrets missing out on Harambee Stars chance because of a passport hitch.

The dribbling wizard was crafted by coach Engin in the travelling squad for the double-header CHAN qualifier match against South Sudan last Sunday but was dropped after he failed to avail the document in time.

The 28-year-old is at a career crossroad and is torn between continuing with playing or hanging up his boots altogether.

Considering how pivotal it is to don the national team colours, the former attacker said the experience is a learning curve for him, challenging other players to have their particulars ready in case such a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity arises.

«I have learnt my lesson the hard way. I will do better next time. This should send a message to fellow players on the importance of having documents throughout,» he said as revealed by  . Msagha who scored 11 goals for Sofapaka last season said the setback will not distract him from his objectives, adding he will prefer doing the talking on the pitch.

The tournament is for players plying trade in the domestic leagues in their respective countries. Kenya will co-host the biennial championship in February next year alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
