«Yeah, you know, that guy (Connor Mantz) is amazing. That guy is a very strong guy. So I knew — I’ve been watching him running in the Olympics, in New York — and I knew he’s a very strong athlete, especially strong-minded,» said Kotut via hailing the American.

«So I knew he wouldn’t just give in like that. In my mind, I was like, let me be sure. I had enough energy to try and push, but I wasn’t sure. So I said, maybe let me wait for a few meters so that we can contend,» he added.
