‘He makes the best…’ — Victor Wanyama’s partner confirms viral moment of 2012 as she reveals what Kenyan star cooks best

Victor became an internet sensation in 2012 following a viral tweet about what he had eaten.

, then playing for Scottish giants Celtic, wrote on Twitter (now X): “I had spaghetti and it was very nice I enjoyed it.”

Simple as it was, the tweet gained over 40,000 retweets and over 38,000 likes, endearing him further to the fans.

It was not just Celtic supporters who saw the fun side of his tweet but the rest of the football world and when he was unveiled by Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, who had just signed him from Southampton in 2016, Spurs used the viral tweet to welcome him to North London.

“We signed @VictorWanyama and he was very nice we enjoyed it,” Spurs tweeted, accompanying the post with an image of the international holding spaghetti.

Now, 13 years since that viral tweet, Wanyama’s partner Serah Teshna has just confirmed that the midfielder does not only enjoy digging into the long, thin, cylindrical pasta but is also very good at preparing it.

“He actually makes the best spaghetti,” Teshna posted her Instagram stories, praising the footballer’s culinary skills.

It is a post that will excite fans more going by Wanyama’s now famous tweet as he has stayed true to the dish which appears to be one of his favourites.
