It was not just Celtic supporters who saw the fun side of his tweet but the rest of the football world and when he was unveiled by Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, who had just signed him from Southampton in 2016, Spurs used the viral tweet to welcome him to North London.
“We signed @VictorWanyama and he was very nice we enjoyed it,” Spurs tweeted, accompanying the post with an image of the international holding spaghetti.
Now, 13 years since that viral tweet, Wanyama’s partner Serah Teshna has just confirmed that the midfielder does not only enjoy digging into the long, thin, cylindrical pasta but is also very good at preparing it.
“He actually makes the best spaghetti,” Teshna posted her Instagram stories, praising the footballer’s culinary skills.
