Cristiano Ronaldo has reignited his feud with former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, delivering a scathing critique of the Dutchman’s tenure at Old Trafford.
According to DailyMail, in a new interview with Rio Ferdinand on Rio Ferdinand’s podcast that will be released tomorrow, Ronaldo criticized Ten Hag’s approach and called for a complete overhaul of the club’s structure.
Ronaldo’s dissatisfaction with Ten Hag was well-documented during his departure from United in 2022.

The Portuguese star’s latest comments, however, mark a renewed and forceful attack on the Dutchman’s management. “Manchester United needs a total rebuild,” Ronaldo asserted. “It’s not just about buying new players; it’s about rethinking the entire club.”
The 39-year-old, who scored 145 goals during his two spells at United, expressed frustration over Ten Hag’s public statements regarding the team’s ambitions.

“As a Manchester United coach, you cannot say that you’re not going to fight for the League or the Champions League,” Ronaldo remarked. “You have to aim high, even if it seems unrealistic.”
Despite his criticisms, Ronaldo acknowledged the positive step of appointing Ruud van Nistelrooy to the coaching staff.
Van Nistelrooy, a former United striker who scored 150 goals for the club, was seen by Ronaldo as a crucial addition. “If Ten Hag listens to Ruud, it could make a significant difference,” Ronaldo said. “He understands the club and what it means to the fans.”

The former United forward also emphasized the importance of having former players involved in the club’s operations. “You need people who know the game, who have been in the dressing room,” he explained. “Rebuilding a club is not just about new faces but understanding its essence.”
