Manchester United winger Antony Matheus dos Santos has announced his engagement to long-time partner Rosilene Silva.

The couple, who have been together since their school days in São Paulo, shared the joyous news via Instagram.

Antony, 24, proposed to Silva while they were on a romantic holiday on Italy’s picturesque Amalfi Coast.

The engagement was revealed through a series of three touching photos on their joint Instagram account.

One image captures Antony down on one knee, while another shows him sharing a tender kiss with Silva. The final photo features a heart-shaped flower arrangement with the words “Case Comigo?” – Portuguese for “Will you marry me?”

Silva’s Instagram post accompanying the images reads: “What God has in store for us is far more than we can imagine…”

After the concision of the international break, club football action resumes this weekend and there is a lot to look forward to, starting with Gor Mahia's tie with Al Ahly.

The couple, who are both 24, are already parents to two children, with their youngest born earlier this summer.

Antony’s proposal came at a time when he was not included in Brazil’s squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay, allowing him to take a well-deserved break.

Manchester United's new acquisitions are pushing one midfielder out of the team

Antony has had a challenging season so far. After moving from Ajax to Manchester United, he has struggled to find his form and has only appeared in one of United’s first four fixtures this season, making a brief substitute appearance in a 2-1 defeat against Brighton last month.

Despite his recent struggles on the pitch, Antony’s personal life continues to be a source of happiness. His engagement to Silva, who has supported him through thick and thin, marks a significant and joyful milestone for the couple.
