Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president has waded into the issue of pay.
following reports that he is on Ksh8 million a month, with initial reports claiming the government, through the Ministry of Sports, will be paying him.
However, FKF president Hussein Mohammed says the federation will be responsible for paying the national team coach, clearing the air over the subject.

“McCarthy and the technical team, they will be paid, we will pay them,” Mohammed told the media on Tuesday.
However, the FKF boss did not want to be drawn into how much the South African football legend is earning.
“The issues of contracts and remuneration, there is also a privacy element. If the person is willing to communicate what they are getting remunerated it is up to them,” he added.
“Your payroll is your privacy and you cannot invade anybody’s privacy without their consent.”
