AFC Leopards coach Tomas Trucha has expressed his disspoitment at the way his team played in their 2-1 win over Nairobi City Stars at the weekend.

Victor Otieno opened the scoring for Leopards before Elvis Noor restored parity for Nairobi City Star at the Dandora Stadium but an won goal saw Ingwe win the match.

The Leopards’ boss was, however, not happy with his team’s showing.

Four big talking points from matchweek four of the 2024/2025 FKF Premier League.

«They (Nairobi City Stars) made it difficult for us because we scored and we should have controlled the game. We gave the opponents silly goals. Luckily we scored before half-time,» explained Trucha.

«Second half they made it difficult again because maybe we should have scored goal number three, number four, number five and the game would be over.»

AFC Leopards' new signing Ovella Ochieng has vowed to ensure he returns Ingwe to the top of Kenyan football after seeing the club enjoy a fine start.

Trucha whose side missed opportunities to take the game away from the City boys explained that he was not happy that his side failed to kill the game

«But we were not focused or too relaxed, maybe too confident and were almost punished. I’m happy with three points but I’m not happy with the team’s perfomance,» he added.

Leopards are third on the log with nine points, one behind KCB FC and Kariobangi Sharks both on ten, having played four matches, won three and lost one.
