World Athletics president has urged the International Olympic Committee to look into the rules on transgender and the differences in sex development (DSD) athletes.
Seb Coe is vying for thepresident seat and vowed that if he takes office, he would certainly look into that. , the current IOC president will be in office until next year March and during his visit to Africa, he promised to work until the final day.
Seb Coe has always been vocal about female athletes and his concerns have been raised following Algeria’s Imane Khelif who won women’s welterweight boxing gold at the Paris Games.

This came a year after the boxer was disqualified from the World Championships. The disqualification came after failed a gender eligibility test. Taiwan’s Lin Yu-ting was also banned by IBA but allowed to compete at the Paris Olympic Games.
«I think the International Olympic Committee needs a very, very clear policy in this space. And the protection of the female category, for me, is absolutely non-negotiable,” Coe told
«If you are not prepared to do that, and that is where the international federations expect a lead to be taken, then you really will lose female sport and I’m not prepared to see that happen. I’m not sure that policy is clear enough at the moment.»
The International Olympic Committee gave a go ahead to compete after they questioned the legitimacy and credibility of the IBA’s tests.

«It’s a movement I spent my whole life in. I feel as though actually I’ve probably been in training for life for this so yes, it’d be a huge honour. I don’t know if it’s the toughest race I’ve ever run, but it’s the one I’m best prepared for,” Seb Coe said.
