Mary Moraa was among Kenyan athletes who enjoyed a good season in 2024 and it came with some bumper rewards in form of prize money.

Nestled behind a bold blue steel gate, the mansion greets visitors with a driveway paved with durable cabro blocks, leading to an exterior painted in warm shades of orange, cream, and brown.

This inviting color palette sets the tone for the cozy and stylish interior.

Inside, the ground floor features a spacious sitting room flooded with natural light, complemented by sleek lighting fixtures that add a touch of sophistication.

Junelle Bromfield has credited her late mother for inspiring her athletics journey and noted that she was the only person who would attend her track meets faithfully.

The 2024 athletics season proved to be a memorable one for Moraa, beginning with local competitions before she took on the African Games in Accra, Ghana.

At the games, she clinched gold in the 400m and anchored the mixed 4x400m relay team to a bronze medal.

Her dominance continued at the Kip Keino Classic, where she opened her 800m campaign with a victory.

Moraa’s international season included a series of stellar performances on the Diamond League circuit, starting with a win in Doha.

She placed second in the 400m at the USATF Los Angeles Grand Prix and repeated the feat at the Prefontaine Classic in the 800m, finishing behind her rival Keely Hodgkinson.

Her resilience shone through at the Kenyan Olympic Trials, where she secured third place, earning a spot at the Paris Olympics.

At the Olympics, Moraa delivered a strong performance, taking bronze in a highly competitive 800m final behind Hodgkinson and Ethiopia’s Tsige Duguma.
