has defined her season as a roller coaster, where she competed in her first-ever cross-country earlier in the season before shifting her full focus to the track.

In a post on her , she expressed satisfaction with the milestones she achieved and was grateful to God for enabling her start and end her season in good shape.

“A glance at my beautiful season in photos…it has been a roller-coaster; from the local cross country series and track meet, African Games, Paris Olympic Games, Wanda Diamond League to Athlos NYC Meet. God has been gracious,” Mary Moraa said.

Olympics 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson was among fans who watched on as Man United capitulated against Tottenham but it has not distracted her from setting big goals in 2025.

The opened her season at the local meetings before heading to her first international assignment at the African Games in Accra, Ghana where she raced in the 400m and won the race. She also anchored the mixed 4x400m relay team to a bronze medal.

then competed at the Kip Keino Classic, racing in her first 800m race of the season where she claimed top honours before winning the Diamond League Meeting in Doha.

The former world 800m bronze medallist then finished second in the 400m at the USATF Los Angeles Grand Prix and then settled for the same position behind rival Keely Hodgkinson in the women’s 800m at the Prefontaine Classic.

She finished second behind Lilian Odira at the Kenyan Olympic trials and rounded up the podium at the Olympic Games in Paris, finishing behind Hodgkinson and Tsige Duguma. Mary Moraa healed her Olympic heartbreak with a win at the Diamond League Meeting in Lausanne and finished third in the 1000m at the Diamond League Meeting in Silesia.

Ferdinand Omanyala has not enjoyed the greatest of seasons in 2024, but the sprint sensation remains optmistic of better performance in future.

She struck a 600m season world best at the ISTAF 2024 in Berlin, Germany and went on to claim wins at the Diamond League Meeting in Zurich and the final in Brussels. Moraa completed her season with a second-place finish behind Duguma at the Athlos NYC.
