is spending her off-season inspiring the next generation of runners as she looks to make a strong comeback in the 2025 season.

The reigning spent her Saturday afternoon with kids at the Woodlands Star International School in Limuru, teaching them the basics of being a great sportsperson. She also participated in their tree-planting session.

shared a series of photos on her Facebook page, expressing her joy and detailing her activities with the pupils.

Kenya is known as a hotbed of athletics talent with new starts emerging every year. However, there are some who ruled the roost but went off the radar when fans were still waiting for more.

“I had a lively, interactive and informative sports session with pupils, teachers and staff of Woodlands Star International School, Brackenhurst, Limuru. Crowned it with tree planting session,” Mary Moraa said.

After closing her season, also went to inspire students at her former school, Ibacho High School. She shared a post on her Facebook page, taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane as she reconnected with where it all began and shared lovely moments with the teachers and students.

«Quite nostalgic moments, beautiful memories when I visited Ibacho High School where I studied form one and two. It was heartwarming meeting the school’s Principal, Douglas Moroti, and teachers besides interacting with the students,» Mary Moraa shared in a post on her Facebook page a while back.

Meanwhile, the champion continues to shine on and off the track and the 2024 season has been one of the books for her.

She opened her season with a win in the women’s 400m at the third weekend meeting before heading to the trials for the African Games where she also claimed top honours.

Mary Moraa then won the 400m title at the African Games before anchoring the 4x400m mixed relay team to a bronze medal. She competed at the Trials for World Athletics Relays Championships and later on went to claim top honours at the Kip Keino Classic.

The three-time Olympic champion overcame a years-long struggle with an undiagnosed disease, eventually returning to dominate the track with multiple Olympic and World Championship titles.

She won a series of races after that and went on to settle for second places at the USATF Los Angeles Grand Prix in the 400m and the Mary Moraa finished second at the Kenyan Olympic trials and then went on to round up the podium at the Olympic Games.

After the , Mary Moraa won the Diamond League Meeting in Lausanne and then finished third in Silesia. She then shattered Caster Semenya’s 600m world best at the ISTAF 2024 and proceeded to win the meeting in Zurich before claiming the Diamond trophy at the final in Brussels. The 2022 world 800m bronze medallist rounded up her season at the Athlos NYC where she finished second in the women’s 800m.
