Reigning world 800m champion Mary Moraa has shared a video of herself jamming to a Swahili gospel song alongside American sprint queen Sha’Carri Richardson.
Moraa is currently in the US for the Prefontaine Classic, the Diamond League Meeting in Eugene, Oregon, set for today evening.
The renewal of the rivalry between Athing Mu, Keely Hodgkinson, and Mary Moraa will have to be postponed following the Mu's withdrawal from the Prefontaine Classic.
The Commonwealth Games champion captioned the video: “Here we go again with my bestie…Sha’Carri Richardson much love.” She further added: “A dance before the real dance with Sha’Carri Richardson.”

Meanwhile, the duo is set for a stern test at Hayward Field where they both will be keen to impress the crowds with Richardson being in the hunt for her first win of the season.
Competing in front of the home crowd, she will have her work cut out as she aims to go up against double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah who will be opening her season.
Moraa has been unbeaten in the 800m and will be going up against track rival Keely Hodgkinson, who will race her first 800m event of the season following her personal best time clocked in a 400m race in Italy.
Other exciting matchups include the men’s 100m that has attracted Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala and Christian Coleman. The race has also attracted Jamaican wunderkind, Ackeem Blake.
