“We’ve been doing a lot of strength and longer reps in training, especially to build my 200m. That’s really what the 300m was about, testing that last 100m. And the way I finished? That was a good sign.”

Her physique has also greatly changed and she explained that they have been working out something and she is happy that the pieces are coming together nicely.
“I was happy with how I executed. My coach was happy and that’s what really matters. He sees the big picture. I trust him,” she added.
Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga has received criticism for not translating his great club form to the national team but what are the factors that contribute to this?
“I am. And I think because of what my coach and I have been doing now, especially with the longer stuff, I think it has definitely made me a lot leaner. I would say that.”
