The women’s-only event, set to take place in New York on Thursday, has brought together some of the world’s top athletes and besides, the $60,000 on offer for each winner, the whole setup has wowed the Puerto Rican sprinter.
“The vibe is completely different, we are just women and the prize money is a lot bigger than what we get at other meets,” Jasmine Camacho-Quinn told

“We went and did photo shoots, video stuff and all of us were just being girls because we never have this opportunity so it is good for us we are able to get in work mode and still enjoy it

“Here, they do makeup. I’m trying to get adjusted to a full face of makeup right now! Everything here is just so fun.
“We knew this meet was coming up so we had to kind of stay in work mode anyway so it was not like it is the last month of the season and we are tired.”
The 100m hurdles is one of the events to look forward to at the meet as it will pit against her fierce rivals, led by Olympics champion who floored her to win gold at the Paris 2024 Games.
