Olympic champion Gabby Thomas has revealed what it has taken to mentally prepare for the Athlos race after her participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Thomas revealed that preparing for Athlos has been one of the most challenging tasks she has undertaken after the long season that she has had.
The three-time Olympic champion had an eventful Olympic where she claimed gold in the women’s 200m while also securing gold in the women’s 4x400m and 4x100m relays.
Masai Russell praised Gabby Thomas for her involvement in organizing the women-only event Athlos, expressing confidence in its success due to Thomas' understanding of female athletes' challenges and her leadership.
“I think it’s one of the biggest ever challenge I have had to face after having such a long season and emotional roller-coaster of going to the Olympics and coming back, putting your head down, getting on the track again and training at such an intense level,” Thomas told
“I have just been fighting through it. I have trained myself mentally to do that over the years. What I do for a living is wake up and do things that I do not want to all the time,” she added
The sprinter is set to headline the women-only track event scheduled for Thursday, September 26.
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has remained silent about her future in athletics after withdrawing from the Paris Olympic Games, leaving her fans uncertain about her next steps.
