Thomas described her motivation behind bringing the series to life, appearing on the
“So going into Sprint, I had watched and. I’ve seen these other sports get a bunch of attention, and I was like, ‘Track could really get that too.’ Track people are fun and really interesting,» said Thomas.
She took the initiative, reaching out to to Box Films, the production team behind some of these successful docuseries, proposing they do the same for track and field.

According to Thomas, the series offers a rare look at what goes on behind the scenes, revealing the intense preparation and training these athletes undergo far beyond the Olympic stadium.
“A lot of people don’t know the structure of track and field. They just think we show up at the Olympics and that’s it,” she explained.
American sprinter Gabby Thomas has shared when she could possibly feature in a marathon after her fans overwhelmingly voted in favour of the move.
“What’s great about this documentary is that people get to see what we do when we’re not competing at the Olympics. They followed us through an off-season.”
The series will spotlight a star-studded lineup of sprinters, including Thomas, Noah Lyles, Fred Kerley, Kishane Thompson, Julien Alfred, Letsile Tebogo, Melissa Jefferson, Twanisha Terry, Marcell Jacobs, Kenny Bednarek, Shericka Jackson, and Oblique Seville, among others.
