Triple Olympics champion Gabby has given fans an insight into the diet and training regimen that has served her so well during her career.

says her training does not involve long runs, with one mile, the furthest she has ever gone in training. That makes sense as she typically prepares for short sprints with her specialisation being in 200m and 100m.

The 27-year-old also sticks to Olympics lifts to stay in line with the kind of competitions she features in while on weekends, she takes a well-earned rest and is never afraid to dig into her favourite Pizza.

American sprinter Gabby Thomas has opened up on what worries her the most even as she pushes for more success on track.

“A typical week for me I train Monday through Friday. I do two days a week of hard sprint workouts and the rest of the days are longer interval training runs, I weight lift two times a week and I really stick to Olympics lifts,” she said recently.

“Sunday and Saturday, is completely for recovery,” she added, insisting that she eats a lot of pizza on her days off.

The Texas-based sprinter then weighed in on her diet, explaining how she manages to get all the vital components together.

Triple Olympics champion Gabby Thomas has hit out at fans who criticize athletes over their dietary choices, especially when they indulged in sugary stuff that many consider unhealthy.

“My normal diet is like eggs and avocados in the mornings, salads for lunch and a lot of protein for dinner. I am supplementing Vitamin D, I take a multivitamin, iron, that is pretty much it,” she added.

Thomas’ regimen seems to be serving her well as she claimed three gold medals at the Paris 2024 Games, having secured victory in 200m before linking up with her Team USA colleagues for 4x100m and 4x400m relay gold medals as well.

She is back in training for the 2025 campaign where she will be looking at further success at the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

American sprinter Gabby Thomas shares how winning before Paris Olympics fueled confidence culminating in three gold medals and historic success.
