American 400m sprinting ace Britton Wilson has turned to Christ after a tough season that saw her fail to make it to the Paris Olympics due to an injury.

Wilson shared the news on her X (Twitter) handle with photos and a video of her baptism, expressing her excitement after turning over a new leaf. The 23-year-old said: «Today i got baptized! Praise the Lord.» Following her announcement, fans could not hide their joy as they showered her with congratulatory messages.

«Christ is The Best decision you will ever make!» — Pastor Charles Carter Jr wrote.

«Britton, all of heaven is rejoicing!!!  God is SO GOOD!!!  Congratulations and stay strong in your faith walk. You will have an army of other Christians to walk with you when you need. God bless!» — Dan Redivo noted,

«Hope you marry a soft spoken, lovey dovey man who will never get tired of you, like decades and still healthily obsessed with you,» another user added.

«Another soul being saved for the Kingdom,» Isayah S Williams said.

Britton’s track world was crashed when she withdrew from the Olympics due to a lingering injury.

The athlete made the announcement to the track community via an Instagram post, withdrawing from the 400m and 400m hurdles. «So many people support me, believe in me, pray for me and wish so much success over me and for that I am so thankful.»

Wilson now shifts focus to the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
