Florida Gators freshman DJ Langway set for swift return after weekend setack against Georgia Bulldog

Billy Napiers has provided an update on DJ’s injury after the freshman left Saturday’s game against Georgia Bulldogs with a hamstring injury.

The 19-year-old was carted off the field with what head coach Billy believed was a significant injury at the time.

The Chiefs sank Buccaneers 30-24 on Monday night at the Arrowhead stadium to clinch their eighth consecutive victory.

Napier has allayed those injury fears saying that Langway could be available for selection when the take on the No.5 Texas Longhorns.

«The good news is we have positive information on that front. We do think that the injury is less significant, we do think there’s a pathway for recovery and a return,» he said.

Derek Carr has fired back at former Saints teammate Michael Thomas' comment, allegedly blaming him over the concussion of teammate Chris Olave.

Plenty of fans however, want to see Langway sit out their match against Texas until he is fully healthy given his importance to the program.

Things just haven’t gone Napier’s way since taking over the Gators in 2022, with rumors persisting that the school is in talks of a buyout that would cost over $26 million.

Florida currently sits with a 4-4 record and close out their season with games against Texas, LSU, Ole Miss and Florida State.
