Tickets for Grand the lucrative track event being fronted by American legend Michael Johnson went on sale on Friday December 6, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting showcase for fans.

The event, which will be run across in Jamaica and the United States, has already attracted A-list stars with $100,000 set aside for winners of each race per leg.

The first of the four in 2025 will be in Kingston, Jamaica from April 4-6, then Miami (May 2-4), Philadelphia (May 30-June 1) before concluding in Los Angeles from June 27-29.

Meet 1: Kingston, Jamaica (April 4-6, 2025)

What is in store for fans?

The Grand Slam Track meets will have 96 athletes in track events only: 48 seasonally-contracted “Racers” and 48 single-meet “Challengers” in a two-race format:

“Racers and Challengers will be assigned to compete in one of the following categories, and will all race in two events during each Slam: short sprints (100 m/200 m), short hurdles (100H or 110H/100 m), long sprints (200 m/400 m), long hurdles (400H/400 m), short distance (800 m/1500 m), or long distance (3000 m/5000 m),” Grand Slam Track said via a statement.

What about the athletes?

The event has already attracted top names such as Gabby Thomas, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Masai Russel as well as Lyles’ rivals like Kenny Bednarek and Fred Kerley with more still being wooed.

The runners will be awarded $100,000 for winning a race per Slam with the prize money going down to $10,000 which will be awarded to the eighth-placed finisher.

Grand Slam Challengers will also be paid a set appearance fee besides the prize money.
