Hall of Famer has made a bold prediction, tipping the to win this season’s Super Bowl against defending champions
Speaking on , Sharpe praised the Lions’ dominant 52-6 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday, highlighting their offensive firepower and balanced team structure.
With the Lions poised to take on Indianapolis Colts next, Sharpe believes the Dan Campbell-coached side have what it take to go all the way
The Chiefs sank Buccaneers 30-24 on Monday night at the Arrowhead stadium to clinch their eighth consecutive victory.
“Jacksonville is not the worst team that’s ever been assembled in the last 40 years, and that’s what the Lions did. They can run it with Montgomery and Gibbs, throw it to St. Brown and Jameson Williams, and they’ve got a solid tight end,” said Sharpe
He emphasised the Lions’ versatility and lack of weaknesses, especially in a year where the NFC is less competitive than the AFC
«They’re loaded offensively. they have no weakness and I believe because the NFC is not as strong as the AFC this year I believe it’s easier for them to get there. With all that being said man they’re really good and they’re not resting,» he added.
The Detroit Lions are enjoying a stellar 2024 season with a 9-1 record, leading the NFC North and the entire conference.
This resurgence has been fueled by their offensive efficiency, led by Jared Goff, dynamic running backs Montgomery and Gibbs.
The Lions’ defence has also been pivotal, making them one of the most complete teams in the league.
Buffalo looked the better side as they moved just a game behind their big rivals.
On the other side, Chiefs are also 9-1, leading the AFC West. Despite a recent loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Chiefs remain a dominant force, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes continuing to excel.
They are well-poised for another playoff run, but Sharpe suggests their path in the AFC may be tougher than the Lions’ in the NFC.
